I’ve been wrestling with this all day. So many people have written so much, and so much better than I.
So instead of writing something myself, I’ll just link to what Richard Turley wrote. Hat tip to Justin at Mormon Wasp (the most underrated Mormon web site out there.) I may have a comment or two on the post in the morning.
Turley has a book coming out sometime between right now, and withing then next ten years on the MMM. If the book is anything like the presentation that he gave at the FAIR conference in August, it will be the new standard for writing on the MMM kind of like how Rough Stone Rolling became the standard for writing about Joseph Smith
